On 30 September 2026, a GEODIS delegation paid a working visit to COTCO’s headquarters in Douala, thereby reaffirming the partnership between the two companies since the Chad-Cameroon pipeline began operating.

The GEODIS delegation comprised Roberto PROTA, Country Managing Director, and Xavier AVRARD, CEO of GEODIS Freight Forwarding France and Africa. They were received by COTCO’s Deputy General Manager, Ms HAOUA DAOUSSA DEBY, who was assisted by Mr Christian SOLLO, Business Services Manager, and his collaborators.

This visit comes a few months after the signing of a service contract on 23 June 2026 between COTCO and GEODIS PROJECTS CAMEROON S.A. and SEAOLOGIS FREIGHT FORWARDING.

The contract covers the receipt, inspection, disinfection, preservation, export packaging, storage and consolidation of materials, equipment and supplies, as well as their transport to destinations specified by COTCO, using transport modes selected by the company.

This collaboration is particularly important for COTCO S.A. in the current context, given the challenges associated with maintaining operations, particularly about pipeline maintenance, where ensuring the smooth running of the supply chain remains a major priority. As a significant proportion of the essential equipment, spare parts and supplies are sourced from abroad, efficient logistics services are key to ensuring business continuity.

During the visit, COTCO’s Deputy Managing Director commended the quality of the partnership between the two companies and thanked GEODIS for their continued support. She urged the partners to maintain this momentum in order to consolidate their achievements and tackle current and future challenges, particularly in relation to projects to replace certain major pieces of pipeline equipment.

GEODIS executives, for their part, highlighted the excellent relationship they have with COTCO, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining the required standard of service. They also expressed their willingness to continue providing personalised support tailored to COTCO’s needs.
