
During the ordinary session, the Board of Directors reviewed the company’s key issues, paying particular attention to the proposed acquisition of a new maritime terminal.
The ordinary meeting of the COTCO Board of Directors was held in Douala on 24 June 2026, and was chaired by Mr. Mahamat Assouyouti, Chairman of the Board of Directors. This marked the second session chaired by the new chairman since his appointment on 8 June 2026.
The Chairman was accompanied by the General Manager, Mr. Jean-Paul Simo Njonou, and the Deputy General Manager, Ms Haoua Daoussa Deby. The directors participated in the proceedings in person and via videoconference, demonstrating their commitment to overseeing the company’s governance and development.
During this session, discussions focused particularly on strategic projects designed to support the company’s growth and strengthen its operational capabilities.
The directors paid particular attention to progress on the project to acquire a new maritime terminal. This landmark project is part of COTCO’s commitment to modernising its infrastructure, improving operational performance and consolidating its position as a leading player in the transport of crude oil by pipeline in Africa.
The Board of Directors reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Executive Management team in implementing the company’s strategic direction, with a view to ensuring effective governance, sustainable performance, and value creation for all stakeholders.
